Kyla graduated from Georgetown in December 2014 with a major in Political Economy and minor in Justice and Peace. She is hoping that this trip will teach her a lot about herself and the world around her. She is ready/not ready for this trip to be the hardest thing she has ever done.  When we finish the trip, Kyla will be moving to the Rio Grande Valley in Texas to teach High School math with Teach for America. She hopes this trip will help her inspire her students to see the possibilities that lie before them. She wants to build a career in education and work to strengthen global education curriculums.
